  1. Job Title:           Comfort Advisor
  1. Pay Range:       Draw plus commission
  1. Work Hours:     Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM with an hour for lunch andopen time between appointments. Alternate
                                 Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and participation in the on-call emergency replacement rotation.
  1. Minimum Job Requirements
    • Posses a valid drivers license

    • Basic sales skills
    • An understanding of mechanical equipment
  1. Basic Job Function

    • Educate and advise customers on the purchase of new heating, cooling and indoor air quality products.

    • Self generate referral based sales leads.
    • Offer products and services that solve our customer's specific comfort needs.
  1. Reporting Relationships

    • Comfort Advisors report directly to the Sales Manager.
    • No one reports directly to a Comfort Advisor.
    • Comfort Advisors have a functional relationship with the Service Technicians, Installers, Dispatcher, Sales Lead Coordinator and the Office Manager.
  1. Specific Authority

    • Comfort Advisors have the authority to resolve customer service situations up to $100 with detailed written explanation on their paperwork to the Sales Manager.
    • Comfort Advisors have the authority to offer discount from the company price book of up to two individual five percent discounts with reductions in their commissions.
  1. Responsibilities

    • Providing a positive and winning attitude at all times.
    • Possess all the required tools to perform the job. (See company tool list)
    • Use the Comfort Advisor price book at all times.
    • Complete all paperwork fully and properly and legibly.
    • Be at your scheduled appointments on time every time.
    • Always be neat, clean, clean shaven and dressed in a company uniform.
    • Always treat all customers and coworkers with dignity and respect.
    • Complete each sales call thoroughly, efficiently and with a conclusion of a sale, follow-up appointment or a no answer.
    • Always use a Safety First approach to all work.
    • Discuss all repair/replace options available to the customer.
    • Keep the Dispatcher apprised of your timetable for completion at all times.
    • Meet or exceed all of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the sales department.
  1. Principal Duties

    • Visit every job sold during the installation to insure customer satisfaction and to obtain customer referrals.
    • Follow-up on all unsold jobs until you are certain the job was done by someone else or you are told not to call again.
    • Utilize the company pricing book on all sales taking only the authorized drops.
    • Perform a complete heat gain heat loss calculation on every home you visit.
    • Complete the ISL Home Comfort Analysis on each and every appointment.
    • Ensure all possible photographs have been taken to assist the Sales and Installation Manager in reviewing the job.
    • Participate in the night and weekend Comfort Advisor rotation.
    • Complete all necessary paperwork legibly and in full.
    • Report to the Sales Manager after each and every completed appointment with the results of the appointment.
    • Turn in all paperwork for sold jobs to the Sales Manager within 24-hours of the sale.
    • Maintain a clean and properly stocked sales truck at all times.
    • Enroll in the Comfort Advisor class and the Comfort Advisor Technical class annually.
    • Participate in all company, sales and training meetings.
    • Utilize the internet based technical training offered by the company.
